Based in Buffalo, Wyoming, our sheep are developed on native and improved forage in a semi-arid environment, where only practical, productive animals earn a place in the flock.
Western Skies Australian Whites LLC was founded to develop a long-term seedstock program for Australian White sheep in the United States. We started with a simple belief: the U.S. market deserves functional hair sheep that are developed on grass, adapted to American production systems, and selected with the long-term influence of epigenetics in mind.
Our program is built on genetics from Tattykeel, the Australian breeding program that developed the Australian White breed. We source and combine those genetics with a U.S.-focused selection philosophy, striving to honor Tattykeel's original vision while developing sheep that excel in American grazing systems. Every decision in our program—from matings and replacements to culling—comes back to producing sheep that thrive on forage, excel in fertility and maternal ability, raise vigorous lambs, and remain structurally sound throughout their productive lives.

Selection on grass
Rams and ewes are asked to perform on forage — not on a creep feeder. If they can't produce here, they don't stay.
Registered pedigrees
We work within the recognized Australian White registry framework so buyers get transparent pedigrees and documentation.
